Not-Quite-Teriyaki Marinated Salmon

Sugar/ gluten/ lactose free

For 2 Salmon fillets


2 – 4 cloves garlic, sliced thin

1/4 red chilli, deseeded and chopped

1 inch ginger, sliced finely

2 tbsps Coconut Aminos

1 tbsps olive or sesame oil

1 tbsp lemon or lime juice

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients together. Cover the salmon fillets in the marinade and leave for up to 1 hour (the lemon will start to ‘cook’ the salmon so don’t leave it for too long)
  2. Fry the salmon fillets and the marinade in a hot pan to taste (I like mine crispy on the outside and rare inside, takes about 3 minutes per side)
  3. Garnish with fresh corriander and chopped chilli
  4. Serve with lightly stir fried vegetables in sesame oil, and if you are eating starch, brown rice/ brown rice noodles
